SKG Loot Rules Empty

Suicide Kings - How it works. (25 Man Loot System and Rules)

The first step is to make a list of raiders The list of course is already started as we are an older guild with many people raiding.

SKG Loot Rules Skg01

The list shows many factors when a raid starts:

Peoples place on the list
Those that are on the list but aren't in the raid
Any new people added to the list

SKG Loot Rules Skg02

Now for the most important part of the whole system, the loot has drop and who gets it.

SKG Loot Rules 03

In the above example we see that CCC wanted the loot and was the highest on the list so he suicided. When he did that he got the loot and then was placed at the bottom of the list. Everyone else who was present at the raid then moved up on the list to the next available open slot. Those that weren't present neither drop or move up as their slots aren't open during this raid. With a list as big as the one FTW has, it is possible to move many ranks at a time. You can see this with the new member to the raid moving 3 slots in on raid because of people not being in the raid.

Alts: Only the character that is present earn spots on skg and
move when loot is handed out.
Your position doesn't transfer between your main and your alts. Every character has
to earn it's own spot on the list.

Guild tanks: You are not on the Skg list, tanks are given special treatment with regards to the fact that better geared tanks are needed for progression. Guild tanks will be given
priority on Tier items for tanking, not off spec (see off spec loot rule*). This
rules only applies to guild specified tanks, not alts. Tanks are handled through officer
loot.

Main SKG loot rules:

1) Only bid on an item if it is for your raiding spec, no off spec bidding. You must show up to raid in your raiding spec in order to bid on loot, if you are off spec at time, you may move on skg but not bid on items. (Exception - unless you have been asked to change spec for a fight that has a required need)

2) Off spec loot rule* Items will be open to offspec if no bids are placed on an item. If no bids are placed on an item, it will then be offered to those that can use via /roll. Highest roller wins item. If you bid on an item that is an off spec, and the bid is closed before it is caught, (your spec will be checked before Master Looter hands over item), and the skg mod suicides you, you will remain suicided. Please pay attention to what you are bidding on.

3) Class items marked for a class (doesn't included Tier items) If all parties agree, this can be rolled for instead of using a suicide spot. Ie, healing trinket for priest drops, all healing priests can agree to roll on item and not loss suicide spot. If a healing priest wants to bid on item, then we go back to normal bid process where highest bidder gets item.

4) There may be special items that drop off a boss, ie, 20 slot bag, Mag's head. These items will be decided on at the time of first seeing them as to how they will be handled in the future, skg or roll.

a) 20 slot bag off of Mag = /roll
b) Mag's head = SKG
c) Recipes/Patterns = Pattern/Recipe that make a BOE will go to officers first so that
items remain in guild to be made for guild members free of charge (must provide own
mats), Patterns/Recipes that make BOP items will be rolled for by people that can use
the recipe and want to make the item for themself.

5) The following whisper commands are used when bidding on items, this is the only way bids will be accepted.

Whisper Commands - you whisper these to the loot master of the raid
------------------------
SK has a couple "whisper" commands that allow you to whisper stuff to the loot master to perform an action. To use them, simply whisper the word listed below to the loot master.

suicide
This will whisper back to you your position on each list. It's not as good as running the mod yourself, but it can give you a rough idea. Please do this before the raid starts, or after all loot is been hand out after a boss kill. Do not do this during any time loot is being handled.

bid
When bidding is open, whisper this to the loot master to indicate that you would like the item. The highest player that bids receives the item.

retract
If you used the bid command, you can use this command to withdraw your bid.

THERE WILL BE NO PLAYING AROUND WITH WHISPERING BID TO THE LOOT MASTER. SHOULD YOU DO THIS AND WIN, YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING THE LOOT BUT WILL BE SUICIDED.

This is very important to remember. You must stay until all loot is given out in order to move on the skg list. If you leave the raid before loot is handed out, the mod doesn't see you there. If the mod doesn't see you, it greys you out and you don't move when people suicide.

Potential advantages over other loot systems

Very transparent, and simple to maintain
Loot distribution takes place very quickly
Veteran players cannot build a large DKP lead, inflation is a non-issue

I hope this clears up some of the questions you may have. Should you have any questions about loot and the list, please speak with an officer before the raid starts.
